GM/Coach Shawn Martin excited for the future of Ice Wolves Hockey

ICE WOLVES 2015 SJHL DRAFT ANALYSIS

 

The La Ronge Ice Wolves are very excited to announce our 2015 draft class. Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin has contacted the players and had this to say “We are very pleased at the quality of players we were able to select, all of them are fine young men and excited about the opportunity at becoming Ice Wolves in the near future”. Below Head Scout Sean Phaneuf has described the  individual draft picks so the Ice Wolves fans can get to know them better.

 

1st Round (2nd Overall)

Ty Mosimann  F (Edam)

Battleford Barons 31 Games Played: 36 Goals/ 35 Assists/ 71 Points

  • Dynamic offensive player with the ability to take over games.
  • Committed to play with the Prince Albert Mintos next season along with his brother Kade who is also a prospect with the Ice Wolves.

2nd Round (14th Overall)

Eli Lieffers F (Saskatoon)

Saskatoon Maniacs 31 Games Played: 19 Goals/ 14 Assists/ 33 Points

  • Big bodied, good skating player with nice scoring touch around the net.
  • Committed to play with the Saskatoon Contacts next season and has family ties to the community of La Ronge.

3rd Round (26th Overall)

Matt Allardyce (Saskatoon)

Saskatoon Maniacs 31 Games Played: 14 Goals/ 16 Assists/ 30 Points

  • Skilled Forward who has the ability to make plays with his great speed.

4th Round (38th Overall)

Matt Conlon (Warman)

Sask Valley Vipers 31 Games Played: 16 Goals/ 20 Assists/ 36 Points

  • Strong and hardworking player that plays both sides of the ice very well.

5th Round (50th Overall)

Jordan Frey (Saskatoon)

Saskatoon Bandits 16 Games Played 3.55 Goals against Average

  • Quick and athletic goaltender that is technically sound.
  • Committed to play with the Saskatoon Contacts next season.

6th Round (62nd Overall)

Brayden Dirks (Prince Albert)

Prince Albert Venice House Raiders 12 Games Played: 6 Goals/ 5 Assists/ 11 Points

  • Big, strong power forward type that has a great shot.

 

The Ice Wolves faithful will get there first look at these young men on September 3rd when the Ice Wolves break camp for the 2015-16 seasons.
