Prince Albert Raiders defenceman Nolan Allan was selected 32nd overall by the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday night, which concluded the opening round of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
Allan, a Davidson, SK product, played five games with the SJHL’s La Ronge Ice Wolves during the abbreviated 2020-21 campaign prior to the WHL season starting. In five contests with La Ronge, he recorded five points and 10 penalty minutes.
After the postponement of the SJHL season, Allan returned to the Prince Albert Raiders and tallied two points and 21 penalty minutes in 16 games.
He would then suit up for Canada at the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championships in Texas. Canada won gold at the event.
From everyone in La Ronge, Congratulations!
