Former Ice Wolves Captain suits up for the Flames in Preseason

DUSTIN STEVENSON CONTINUES HOCKEY JOURNEY

Former La Ronge Ice Wolves Captain Dustin Stevenson made another step forward in his hockey career by suiting up for the Calgary Flames this past week in a preseason game.

Dustin played 3+ seasons with the Wolves where he put up 28 goals, 71 assists and 323 pims in 163 regular season games with the Wolves and lead the Wolves to a RBC semi final appearance.

If Dustin does not crack the Flames lineup he will be playing for the Stockton Heat of the AHL for the 2015/16 season.

Last season the 6’4″ 220lb defenceman scored 3 goals and added 8 assists in 45 games for the Adirondack Flames of the AHL.  He added 94pims and was a plus 5 for the Flames last season as well.

2012-13: Played in 65 games for Reading Royals (ECHL), registering 10 assists and 103 PIM…His 103 penalty minutes ranked second on Royals…Recorded one goal, eight assists and 14 PIM in 22 playoff games to help Reading to 2013 Kelly Cup Championship.

2011-12: Dressed in all 72 regular season games for South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL), tallying seven assists and 113 PIM…Ranked second on South Carolina in penalty minutes (113)…Collected a goal and two assists for Stingrays over nine postseason matches.

2010-11: Notched three goals, nine assists and 44 PIM over 63 games during rookie season with South Carolina.
