Former Klipper now an Ice Wolf

ICE WOLVES ACQUIRE YOUNG FORWARD FROM KINDERSLEY TO COMPLETE LACLARE DEAL

The La Ronge Ice Wolves would like to announce the acquisition of ’98 born Forward Kolby Johnson. The Kerrobert, SK native is a 6’2 200 lb power forward who played with the Klippers in 2014-2015 and accumulated 4 points to go along with 47 penalty minutes in 32 games. Prior to playing with the Klippers Kolby played one year with the Swift Current Legionnaires Midget AAA program where as a 15 year old he produced 23 goals to go with 36 points in 43 games.

“Kolby is a big, strong young player that was one of the few 98 born players to play in the SJHL last year. Watching how Bryce Fiske and Tristen Elder developed and matured last year we wanted to continue to bring young talented players into our team”. “Kolby is going to be a very good player in our league and he is extremely excited to become an Ice Wolf” Stated Shawn Martin Head Coach/GM of the Ice Wolves. Kolby was the final component of the Owen Laclare trade made last June where the Ice Wolves also added Colby Daniels, Tyler Pickett and Kade Mosimann.

The Ice Wolves family would like to welcome Kolby to the organization and wish him the best of luck. For any inquires contact Shawn Martin Head Coach/GM at 306.420.8215

The Ice Wolves would also like to add that there are still openings for the 2015 spring camp held May 1st to 3rd and will be pushing back the registration deadline until April 25th 2015.
