Ice Wolves add Trio of players to Roster

The Ice Wolves would like to announce the acquisition of 3 players.

In 3 separate deals the La Ronge Ice Wolves first picked up 6’2″ 190lb Centre Cole McCarton (96) from the Steinbach Pistons of the MJHL in exchange for Connor Kortko.  This season Cole had 8 points in 26 games with the Pistons.  Last year with the AAA Midget Central Plains Capitals of the MMHL he tallied 43 points in 32 games. In another move the Ice Wolves picked up Michael Cardinal (96) from the Drayton Valley Thunder of the AJHL.  Michael, in his second season, with the Thunder has complied 27 points in 76 games.  Prior to his time in Drayton Valley he played AAA Midget in St. Albert of the AMHL amassing 20 points in 32 games. And in the final deal of the day, the Wolves picked up Zackary Klebaum (95) from the Nipawin Hawks.  The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan product is a steady, hard working defence man that has played the last 2 seasons with the Hawks.  Zack has 7 points in 55 games to go along with 53 pims. (no picture)

All three players are excited at the opportunity to wear the black and teal and are expected to be in the lineup for this week’s games vs Nipawin and Kindersley.
