Ice Wolves Continue to add to Roster

ICE WOLVES ADD 3 TALENTED INDIVIDUALS

The La Ronge Ice Wolves have added 3 talented individuals to the line up for the 2014/15 season.

Forward Cole Porter (95) and Defenceman Kyler Wilkinson (94) from the Lloydminster Bobcats for future considerations.

The 5ft 10″ 180lb Porter finished his rookie season with the Bobcats tallying 20 points in 49 games, while Kyler (5ft 10″ 175lb) split the season between the Revelstoke Grizzlies and the Bobcats, where he compiled 32 points in 49 games.

“Cole is a talented player that is on te cusp of having a breakout year.  We feel that the situation we place him in will be a benefit for his development.  In Kyler we are getting a committed young man that will bring experience and energy to our blue line.  He had a terrific playoffs last year where he had 5 points in 12 games and was a major part of the Bobcats post season success” states Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin.

In another deal, the Wolves added D-Man Kyle Lamont (95) and future considerations from the Drayton Valley Thunder for Landon Robin.  Last season the 5ft 10″ 180 lb Lamont compiled 3 points in 36 games with the Thunder and the Okotoks Oilers.  “Kyle is a defensive defenceman that wil help us with addressing our goals against needs and by all accounts is a character guy that will bring another strong, dedicated player into our dressing room”, states Shawn.

All incoming players are excited to be coming to our community and joining the Ice Wolves prior to training camp, which opens up on Thursday August 28th.
