Ice Wolves end road trip 

The La Ronge Ice Wolves ended a four-game road trip with a tough 5-2 loss Saturday in Estevan.

The Ice Wolves got goals from Sage Roberts and Jacob Hufty, while Eric Kahl stopped 29 shots in a losing cause.

Owen Barrow, Zach Burfoot, Alexander Papaspyropoulos, Gabriel Filion and Keagon Little tallied for the Bruins. Jackson Miller was not busy, turning away 21 shots for the win in the Estevan net.

With the loss, the Ice Wolves slipped to 12-23-3 on the season, which has them controlling 11th in the SJHL standings. La Ronge is just three points back of the Melville Millionaires for the last playoff spot. 

The Ice Wolves, who went 2-2 on their southern swing, are back in action next Friday night when they welcome the Yorkton Terriers to the Mel Hegland Uniplex.
