The La Ronge Ice Wolves are pleased to announce their Hockey Operations Staff for the 2015-16 season.
Assistant Coach
Mat Hehr, Sherwood Park, AB
- Coached at the Midget level and NCAA Div III with Suny Canton
- Played 4 years NCAA with Fredonia State
- Played 3 years with Sherwood Park Crusaders (AJHL)
Shawn Martin: “Mat is going to be a great fit for our club; he is a dedicated worker that has a great passion for the game”. “Having the opportunity to coach Mat when he was with the Crusaders it will bring a great deal of familiarity to our coaching room and our team”.
Assistant Coach
Eric Bell, La Ronge SK
- 10 years Assistant Coach for Ice Wolves
Shawn Martin: “Eric has had a great impact on this organization for many years in various roles and I look forward to having him back in a coaching capacity for next season”.
Assistant Coach
Rob Wilson, La Ronge SK
- 1 year Assistant Coach for Ice Wolves
Shawn Martin: “Rob stepped up last year to help us out and did a great job relating to our players and being a great sound board for myself, excited to have him back for another year”.
Goalie Coach

- Owner of Above the Crease Goaltending
- Also Goaltending Coach for the Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL) and Meritt Centinnials (BCHL)

- Currently Head Coach of Team Sask FSIN (National Champions 2014-15)
- 5 years Head Coach of Prince Albert Midget AA Raiders
- Played 3 years in SJHL

Kurt Freyman Maidstone, Sk
- 1 Year Scout with La Ronge Ice Wolves
- Coached minor hockey for 17 seasons
- Graduated from Sports Management World Wide Scouting Course
