Ice Wolves make blockbuster trade

The La Ronge Ice Wolves have completed a blockbuster trade with the Flin Flon Bombers. 

The Ice Wolves have acquired 2004-born forward Bailey Ewonus, 2005-born forward Jaden Beauchamp, 2005-born defenceman Ethan Andrews, a player development fee and a third round draft pick in 2024 (2008 draft) from the Flin Flon Bombers in exchange for 2003-born defenceman Adam McNutt. 

Ewonus had two points in four games this season with the Bombers. The Coquitlam, B.C. product split time in the AJHL last season with the Blackfalds Bulldogs and the Grande Prairie Storm.

Andrews tallied two points in three games this season with Flin Flon. The Kimberley, B.C. product spent the 2022-23 campaign at the Pacific Coast Academy. In 33 games, he recorded six points.  

Beauchamp did not appear in a game with the Flin Flon Bombers this season. The St. Albert, AB product had 16 points in 27 games with the RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg U18 squad last season. 

Meantime, the Ice Wolves are back in action Friday night in Melville when they face the Millionaires.
