Ice Wolves MVP Commits to Concordia Thunder

RANDALL JOINS MOGHRABI IN CONCORDIA

 

Ice Wolves 2014/15 MVP Dave Randall (94) has committed to Concordia University for the upcoming season. The 20 year old defenceman from Calgary, Alberta played one season with the Ice Wolves. Dave had a career year this year compiling 19 points in 54 games and led all Ice Wolves blue liners in goals and assists. Dave came to La Ronge by way of the AJHL’s Sherwood Park Crusaders where he tallied 10 points in 56 games in 2013-14. Along with being an assistant captain he was awarded 2 team awards at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season. At the awards banquet, Dave received along with the tams Most Valuable Player award, the A and L Transport Top Defenceman award. Dave will be joining Ice Wolves Captain Adam Moghrabi within the Thunder’s program.

“I had the pleasure of coaching Dave as a 16 year old and as a 20 year old, the strides he made as a player and person was very noticeable”. “He anchored our blue line this season eating up valuable minutes and was always a calming influence for his younger teammates” stated Head Coach/GM Shawn Martin.

On behalf of the Ice Wolves organization we want to congratulate Dave and his family on this achievement and thank him for his service while wearing the Ice Wolf jersey. Dave is the third Ice Wolf to join a post-secondary institution following the 2014-15 season.
