The La Ronge Ice Wolves are set to open their Fall Howl ID Camp today in Saskatoon, SK at the Jemini Arena.
Around 100 players will be at camp trying to crack a spot on the roster for the 2021-22 SJHL season. Players, who are coming from all over North America, have been separated into five different teams.
Registration begins at 2:30 p.m. today and the first scrimmage is set for 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, fans will have the chance to watch eight different scrimmages. The camp concludes Sunday with two games.
Following the Fall Howl ID Camp in Saskatoon, the Ice Wolves will host a main camp at the Mel Hegland Uniplex next week.
La Ronge will then turn its attention to the pre-season, which begins Sept. 5 in Flin Flon versus the Bombers. The Ice Wolves are scheduled to play six pre-season contests.
The Ice Wolves open the regular season Sept. 24 on home ice versus the Nipawin Hawks.
