Ice Wolves sign Baldwin

The La Ronge Ice Wolves have signed 2004-born forward Nolan Baldwin to a letter of intent for the 2023-24 SJHL season.

“I’m a power forward with a big body, but I’m still agile and skilled,” said Baldwin. “I play with speed and I love going to the net.”

The Calgary, AB product split time with the Chilliwack Jets (PIJHL) and Victoria Cougars (VIJHL) last season. In 42 regular season games, Baldwin had 24 points and 84 penalty minutes.

“Nolan is a big, strong, fierce competitor,” said Ice Wolves Head Coach/GM Kevin Kaminski. “He hits hard and competes like a wild man. His work ethic is at another level and he goes to the blue paint to score goals. He also has great hands for a big guy who can score and make plays. He will be a big presence in our lineup.”

Prior to playing junior hockey, Baldwin suited up for the Colorado Springs Tigers 18U AAA program during the 2021-22 season. He took part in La Ronge’s Spring ID Camp over the weekend in Aberdeen, SK.

Baldwin is the sixth player to sign a letter of intent with the Ice Wolves for the upcoming campaign.
