The La Ronge Ice Wolves started their pre-season schedule with a 5-2 loss to the Flin Flon Bombers Saturday night at the Mel Hegland Uniplex.
Jamieson Franz and Dylan Danyluk provided the goals for the Ice Wolves. Ethan Merriman made 23 saves, while Kael Ratt turned away 19 shots in the La Ronge net.
Trevor Stenglein scored twice for Flin Flon, while Joey Lies, Ethan Andrews and Dawson Karol rounded out the offence. Kenneth Marquart made 18 saves in the victory.
The Ice Wolves will look to rebound Monday when they meet the Battlefords North Stars at Flying Dust First Nation.
