La Ronge Ice Wolves Draft High Scoring Pair #1 and #2

ICE WOLVES DRAFT 2 TEAMMATES FROM SWIFT CURRENT BRONCOS

 

La Ronge Ice Wolves have drafted teammates Cash Arnsten and Hayden Wilm # 1 and #2 respectively in today’s SJHL Bantam draft. Arnsten, from Swift Current, and Wilm, from Central Butte both played for the Swift Current Bantam AA Broncos this past season and tied for the team’s lead in scoring. Arnsten had 25 goals and 29 assists while Wilm had 23 goals and 31 assists, each with 54 points. Wilm was taken in the 5th round (106th overall) in the WHL draft last month.

The Ice Wolves have had success with former Swift Current are players who include Coach Vossen and Dustin Stevenson, 2009-10 RBC Cup Top Defenseman and SJHL Player of the year.

The Ice Wolves other draft picks were: Third Round – Adam McNutt, a high scoring defenseman from Saskatoon Generals, 41 points in 31 games; Fourth Round – Jacob Visentini, 56 goals in 27 games with Saskatoon Generals; Also Fourth Round – Defenseman Boston Buckberger, Saskatoon Maniacs, 28 points in 30 games; Curren Wintonyk-Pilot – Forward, Saskatoon Outlaws, 54 points in 31 games.
