The Edmonton, Alberta product will be going home as Edmonton is where Grant MacEwan is located. Nakeho had a tough 20 year old season this year battling various injuries but still compiled 12 points in 36 games to go along along with 96 Penalty Minutes. Playoffs are where a healthy Nakeho stepped up his game scoring 9 points in 7 games winning the Ice Wolves Top Playoff Performer Award. He also was awarded the Community Minded Award as Nakeho was well visible within the community. Nakeho is joining one of the top programs within the ACAC.

“Nakeho preserved through a tough season last year and this opportunity is well deserved, I know our team last year was a lot better when he was in our line-up“.

On behalf of the Ice Wolves organization we want to congratulate Nakeho and his family on this achievement and thank him for his two years of service in La Ronge. Nakeho is the 3rd Ice Wolf to commit to a post-secondary school for this season.
