Wolves Make Two Trades

WOLVES TRADE PECK & DUNN FOR TWO FORWARDS & FUTURE CONSIDERATION

The La Ronge Ice Wolves made a couple of trades today.

The Wolves have acquired 98-born forward Drayton Thunder Chief and future considerations from the Kindersley Klippers in exchange for 97-born forward Curtis Peck. Thunder Chief is from Standoff AB, and also has WHL experience with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Coach Vossen says “Thunder Chief is a big body who will be an instant fan favorite for his style of game and work ethic.”

Thunder Chief had 13 points in 45 games this past season with the Klippers and also recorded 164 penalty minutes.

The Ice Wolves also traded 98-born forward Brayden Dunn to the Calgary Mustangs in the AJHL for 98-born forward Blaise Arkle and futures.

Arkle had 19 points in 58 games this past season. He hails from Winnipeg, MB and played his midget minor hockey with the Banff Hockey Academy. Coach Vossen is “looking forward to Arkle bringing an offensive touch, which we lacked last year, and having him develop into a go to guy.”

The Ice Wolves would like to welcome both Drayton and Blaise and their families to the organization.
