The La Ronge Ice Wolves took W’s in both games of a weekend series against the Estevan Bruins at the Mel Hegland Arena.
Friday’s game was a wild stat padding 10-1 victory for the Wolves. Cole Thomas and Connor Frost both had four point nights, while Mason Bueckert and Rylan Silzer each added three points to their season totals. Hudson Cameron, Seth Dragan, and Dmitri Toporowski had two point nights.
The Bruins only goal on Friday was a very weird, very early chip in by Bruins’ Reed Gramlich.
Graham Brown stopped everything else that came his way.
Saturday’s contest was a little tighter, but Brown remained hot backstopping the Wolves to a 4-1 victory. Goal scorers for the Wolves were Jacob Cossette, Nathan DaSilva, Zane Normand (short handed) and David Vitt.
Wolves record now stands at 11-10-1 for 23 points and fifth overall in the SJHL.
