Wolves will Travel Despite Road Closure

The Ice Wolves Board decided on Monday Night that the team would definitely travel to Flin Flon on Friday for the Season Opener. Although Highway 106 to Creighton/Flin Flon is closed and may remain so, the team will be at the Whitney Forum ready to play when the puck drops Friday night. This may involve travelling a much more circuitous route through Hudson Bay, to Manitoba, through The Pas, and up to Flin Flon. Although there was concern about extra cost of travel and accommodations, the final decision was to play hockey.

Flin Flon returns to La Ronge for our own home opener the next night, Saturday, Sept 16th.
