The La Ronge Ice Wolves are pleased to announce they have signed 2005-born forward Adam Belzil to a letter of intent for the 2023-24 SJHL season.
“I’m a gritty two-way centre,” said Belzil. “I possess good awareness in all three zones. I know how to backcheck hard, but this doesn’t take away from my offensive ability.”
The Levis, QC product recorded 30 points in 30 games this past campaign with the Prairie Hockey Academy U18 Prep team.
During the 2021-22 season, Belzil tallied 39 points in 30 games with the Westlake Bourget College U17 squad en route to a league championship. Belzil also served as captain of that team.
“Adam has great speed and skill – he can score goals in different ways and he makes great passes to set up guys,” said Ice Wolves Head Coach/GM Kevin Kaminski. “In addition to his offensive abilities, he’s a very responsible 200-foot player. He’s very good on draws and plays a physical game. We’d like to welcome Adam to the Ice Wolves.”
Belzil is the seventh player the Ice Wolves have inked ahead of the upcoming season.
