Ice Wolves clipped by Kindersley

The La Ronge Ice Wolves dropped their fifth straight game when they came up short 4-2 in Warman Wednesday night versus the Kindersley Klippers.

Parker Layton and Kale Taylor scored for the Ice Wolves, while Topher Chirico turned away 33 shots in a losing cause.

Logan Falk was brilliant in the Kindersley net, making 29 saves for the victory. The Klippers got goals from Kyler Smith, Logan Cox, Cam Perlinger and Keenan Ingram.

With the loss, the Ice Wolves slipped to 5-14-2 on the campaign, which has them ranked 11th in the SJHL standings at the moment.

The Ice Wolves will try to rebound Friday night on home ice when they host the Battlefords North Stars, who are currently riding a seven-game winning streak heading into Thursday’s action in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
