Ice Wolves sign Gyori

The La Ronge Ice Wolves have signed 2004-born forward Tyler Gyori to a letter of intent for the 2023-24 SJHL season.

“We’re going to be losing some offence this year – and he’s over a point a game,” said Ice Wolves Head Coach and GM Kevin Kaminski. “He has a knack for the net, a great work ethic and from what I hear, he’s a very good leader.”

The Rimbey, AB product had a sensational 2022-23 campaign with the Oceanside Generals in the VIJHL, tallying 51 points in 47 games.

“I’m thrilled to be signing with the La Ronge Ice Wolves and to have the opportunity to join such a competitive, strong team,” said Gyori. “I’m excited to bring my gritty work ethic and skills to help contribute to the team’s success.”

Prior to playing junior hockey this season with the Generals, Gyori finished his U18 career with the Red Deer Chiefs AAA program.

Meantime, the La Ronge Ice Wolves are getting set for the opening round of the SJHL playoffs versus the Melfort Mustangs. Stay tuned to our social media channels for playoff ticketing information.
