September 7th Exhibition Game Cancelled

Due to the closure of highway 106 between the highway 135 junction and Creighton, the Ice Wolves will not be travelling to Flin Flon to play their exhibition game Sept 7. The much more circuitous route through Manitoba was deemed not practical for exhibition – particularly in light of the fact that route may be necessary on September 15th to travel to Flin Flon to play the first game of the regular season.

After the cancellation of the Kindersley exhibition game due to scheduling issues in Kindersley, the Wolves are left with two full weeks of practice time before their first game. Although game experience is important, Coach Vossen adds that the extra practice time will be useful for the team.
