Around 170 players hit the ice this past weekend in Aberdeen, SK as the La Ronge Ice Wolves hosted their annual spring camp.
“It was a great performance by the players on the ice, which gave us some good insight for the draft coming up,” said Ice Wolves Head Coach/GM Kevin Kaminski. “We listed one player that attended our spring camp. We have also invited some other solid players to our main camp.”
Asst. Coach/Asst. GM Kyle Schneider was also encouraged with what he saw during the three days of on-ice sessions in Aberdeen.
“This year’s spring camp was a success,” said Schneider. “We had players that played their way into our main camp in September. We also had several young prospects that will be on our radar for the upcoming SJHL Draft.”
The Ice Wolves will now prepare for the SJHL Draft, which is slated for May 31.
