The La Ronge Ice Wolves have acquired 2005-born forward Ty McKay from the Humboldt Broncos in exchange for a player development fee and a second round pick in 2024 (2009 draft).
McKay, a Calgary product, had two points in five games this season with the Broncos. During the 2022-23 campaign with the IHA U18 Prep team, he recorded 27 points in 32 games.
Meantime, the Ice Wolves are back in action Friday night in Kindersley when they start a weekend series with the Klippers at the West Central Events Centre.
It’s expected McKay will be in the lineup this weekend against Kindersley.
