Ice Wolves end trip 

The La Ronge Ice Wolves concluded a four-game road trip in Melville Saturday night with a 6-3 setback.

Ty McKay, Dylan Handel and Cole Thomas scored for the Ice Wolves, while Topher Chirico made 36 saves in a losing cause.

Luc Bydal scored twice for the Millionaires, while Gaborik Carlson, Colby Ball, Jadon Iyogun and Joel Mabin rounded out the offence. Ethan Rau was not particularly busy, stopping 21 shots for the victory.

With the loss, the Ice Wolves slipped to 15-29-5 on the campaign, which has them controlling 11th in the SJHL standings. La Ronge is seven points behind the Weyburn Red Wings for the last playoff spot. 

The Ice Wolves will try to end a four-game losing streak next Saturday in Humboldt when they meet the Broncos for the last time during the regular season.
